The following hypothesis conveys the thoughts of a character in the movie pi. There could be some truth within this hypothesis. Even if it isn't true, I feel that there might be some truth revealed through an analysis of the following statement:
One:
Mathematics is the language of nature.
Two:
Everything around us can be represented and understood through numbers.
Three:
If you graph the numbers of any system, patterns emerge.
Therefore, there are patterns everywhere in nature.
Evidence:
The cycling of disease epidemics;the wax and wane of caribou populations; sun spot cycles; the rise and fall of the Nile.
So, what about the stock market?
The universe of numbers that represents the global economy. Millions of hands at work, billions of minds. A vast network, screaming with life. An organism. A natural organism.
My hypothesis:
Within the stock market, there is a pattern as well... Right in front of me... hiding behind the numbers. Always has been...
Could this be true in anyway?

1st entry
Hi my name is Imran. I am currently a student at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey. I was recently introduced to the topic of philosophy. I have found it to be one of the most intriguing topics that I have been exposed to. From this desire to conprehend philosophy and the contents that circle it, I have decided to create this blog. What I hope to accomplish is insight into the thoughts and perspectives that others have about topics pertaining to philosophy. All are welcome to share their thoughts and ideas, but please do so with minimal profanity. In essence, I am trying to open a window and jump into a bottomless world.
